Shell starts production at offshore Brazil development

Shell has announced the start of oil production from the third phase of the deepwater Parque das Conchas development.

Parque das Conchas Phase 3 consists of five producing wells and two water-injection wells in the Campos Basin, located approximately 100 kilometres offshore Brazil.

Peak production from this final phase of the project is expected to add up to 20,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, from fields that have already produced more than 100 million barrels since 2009.
